Ross Heaven, founder of The Four Gates, is a psychologist, author, healer, workshop facilitator and presenter.   He has trained extensively in the shamanic, transpersonal and psycho-spiritual traditions and written more than 10 books on the psychology of empowerment, shamanism, plant medicines, healing, and love and relationships.

 These were described by Amazon Books in an official review as "the most important to be published in years". Some have won awards, many are best-sellers and one prompted Guardian journalist James Shreeve to call Ross “the Joseph Campbell of our times”. 
Ross’ work has also featured on radio and television, in films and in newspapers and magazines worldwide including The Guardian, Observer, Daily Express, Mail on Sunday, Kindred Spirit, Spirit & Destiny, Prediction, Vision, Paradigm Shift, Sacred Hoop, Shaman’s Drum, Reality Sandwich, The Terry Wogan Show, Jane Goldman Investigates, The Richard & Judy Show, This Morning, and The BBC World Service. 
Ross also runs trips to the Amazon and Andes regions of Peru to work with the shamans and healers of these traditions. 
He has healing retreat Centres in Spain and Peru where he holds shamanic training courses and workshops and introduces people to the plant spirit medicines ayahuasca and San Pedro.
